In parts it was heartbreaking. It was very tough for him &#8212; everyone else around him had their parents on the sidelines at games and Josh was raised by this woman that he very affectionately calls grandma.<\/h3>\n<h3>\u201cHe says he owes all of his success to her.<\/h3>\n<h3>\u201cThere were tough times\u2026 they used to sit on the verandah and wait hoping that their dad would come and pick them up for a weekend away but in many cases he never came.\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fttadelaide%2Fvideos%2F1897697770251830%2F&#038;show_text=0&#038;width=560\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" allowFullScreen=\"true\"><\/iframe>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p>See the full interview on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.todaytonightadelaide.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Today Tonight<\/a>.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p>The interview follows comments he posted online about how he deals with some of the abuse he cops on social media.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<blockquote>&#13;\n\t<h3>\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of people in my mind &#8212; on Twitter in particular &#8212; who just want to sling mud. They don\u2019t really have a rhyme or a reason, they just like to sling mud and see whether they can get a bite, get a response from people,\u201d Josh told afc.com.au.<\/h3>&#13;\n&#13;\n\t<h3>\u201cWhether I play really, really well or really, really poorly I still see negative tweets and I think that\u2019s part of the business. The only ones that really give me grief are when people are anonymous.
