They\u2019re one of the world\u2019s major events organisations. It could\u2019ve affected thousands of Australians.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorst case scenario it could mean that somebody else has your credit card details\u2026 and if you\u2019ve used Ticketmaster since September last year you really need to go in today, log in to your account, change your password, make sure it\u2019s all locked down.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>_<\/p>\n<h3>Global ticketing giant Ticketmaster has advised some of its customers may have had their personal or payment information accessed by \u201can unknown third-party\u201d.<\/h3>\n<p>Up to 40,000 UK customers are believed to have been affected, while \u201cinternational customers who purchased, or attempted to purchase, tickets between September 2017 and June 23, 2018\u201d may have been affected.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you have not received an email, we do not believe you have been affected by this security incident based on our investigations,\u201d Ticketmaster said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>According to the company:<\/p>\n<blockquote><h3>\u201cOn Saturday, June 23, 2018, Ticketmaster UK identified malicious software on a customer support product hosted by Inbenta Technologies, an external third-party supplier to Ticketmaster.<\/h3>\n<h3>\u201cAs soon as we discovered the malicious software, we disabled the Inbenta product across all Ticketmaster websites.<\/h3>\n<h3>\u201cForensic teams and security experts are working around the clock to understand how the data was compromised.<\/h3>\n<h3>\u201cWe are working with relevant authorities, as well as credit card companies and banks.\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We have created a dedicated website about the recent data security incident, please go to <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/zzETGohwuE\">https:\/\/t.co\/zzETGohwuE<\/a><\/p>&mdash; Ticketmaster UK (@TicketmasterUK) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TicketmasterUK\/status\/1011998001844379648?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 27, 2018<\/a><\/blockquote>&#13;\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UPDATE, 11.48am &#8212; Thousands of Aussies could have had their private info accessed in the Ticketmaster hack.
