SANFL forward Shane McAdam is shaping as a central player in Carlton\u2019s bid to recruit Mitch McGovern from Adelaide.<\/h3>\n

According to The Age\u2019s Sam McClure:<\/p>\n

\u201cHighly rated SANFL gun Shane McAdam<\/strong> is looming as a key in the Mitch McGovern deal, with Adelaide keen on drafting the 23-year-old.<\/p>\n

\u201cCarlton and Gold Coast, who have both been handed priority pre-selections by the AFL in the form of special assistance, are both keen on nominating McAdam, meaning the decision will ultimately rest with the player.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf McAdam does choose Carlton, the Blues can either decide to trade him to the Crows as part of the McGovern deal, or draft him themselves\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cBut McAdam himself wouldn’t be enough to get the McGovern deal done, with Adelaide also likely to request Carlton’s two second round picks (25 and 26) in exchange for the forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

McAdam plays for Sturt in the SANFL.<\/p>\n
