Aussie football hall of famer Tim Watson has voiced doubts about whether Port Adelaide\u2019s Chad Wingard is worth the $1 million a year<\/a> his management apparently says he is.<\/h3>\n

\u201cHe would need to improve a lot and start producing a lot more than what he has in the last season,\u201d Watson has told SEN.<\/p>\n

\u201cI reckon his best season was either his first or his second year in AFL football.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe hasn\u2019t been able to produce the numbers that you would expect.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was thinking he would move into the midfield and he would actually be an elite star quality midfielder in the game but he hasn\u2019t been able to do that. He hasn\u2019t moved into that zone at all.<\/p>\n

\u201cBack in 2015 when he was playing his best football that he has produced to this point, his most consistent football, he was an elite talent in the competition.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was a match-winning type player but he hasn\u2019t been able to reproduce that.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe challenge for him is the consistency level. He hasn\u2019t lived up to that hype.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n
