{"id":10951,"date":"2018-08-31T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-08-31T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/uncategorized\/caroline-wilson-publishes-shock-report-into-off-field-issues-at-the-adelaide-crows-2\/"},"modified":"2018-08-31T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2018-08-31T00:00:00","slug":"caroline-wilson-publishes-shock-report-into-off-field-issues-at-the-adelaide-crows-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/sport\/caroline-wilson-publishes-shock-report-into-off-field-issues-at-the-adelaide-crows-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Caroline Wilson Publishes SHOCK Report Into Off-Field Issues At The Adelaide Crows"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Caroline Wilson has published a detailed article on problems at the Adelaide Crows, which includes info on some of the \u201chorrifying\u201d allegations made about the club\u2019s pre-season camp and tensions between players and senior club officials.<\/h3>\n<p>According to Caro:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe showdown that took place between a posse of senior Adelaide players and their coach Don Pyke and key executives in the AAMI Stadium offices this week has not entirely cleared the air that has festered all year at the club during a wasted and occasionally acrimonious season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<strong>Taylor Walker, Rory Sloane, Tom Lynch, Matt Crouch <\/strong>and<strong> Josh Jenkins<\/strong> were among the group who confronted Pyke, football boss Brett Burton and chief executive Andrew Fagan to outline their misgivings with the club\u2019s handling of a series of issues headlined by the disastrous Collective Mind pre-season camp.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs confrontations go, it was robust and punctuated with disappointment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe players were not after blood but they wanted consequences as a result of the failure of the hierarchy to look after their welfare.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Caro revealed the club had refused to answer her questions about \u201c<strong>medical concerns harboured by the club doctor<\/strong>\u201d over the camp and a \u201cso-called smoking gun\u201d doctor\u2019s report into incidents that occurred on the camp, including the collapse of Tom Lynch and damaging cuts suffered by Kyle Hartigan.<\/p>\n<p>She also revealed that captain <strong>Tex Walker was recently disciplined by the club<\/strong> over a \u201cdrinking indiscretion&nbsp;that probably symbolised his disastrous season\u201d.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWalker was disciplined by the club in a recent incident that was hushed up at the time.
