Don Lane was a mentor too. He did a hell of a lot of mentoring.\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>Later Newton told News Ltd he did mean anything by the comments.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<blockquote>&#13;\n\t<h3>\u201cIt was totally innocent so far as I am concerned,\u201d he said.<\/h3>&#13;\n&#13;\n\t<h3>\u201cIn fairness these days, everything is jumped on. I am not that sort of person.
