Port Adelaide star Robbie Gray says Sam Powell-Pepper is embarrassed after he was handed a one-match club ban for breaking team rules when he was out on the town late last weekend.<\/h3>\n

An investigation into claims — strongly denied by Powell-Pepper<\/a> — that he also indecently assaulted a woman at a nightclub continues.<\/p>\n

“The leadership group have obviously handed Pep the one-match suspension for being out too late on the weekend,\u201d Gray told RSN 972 on Thursday. \u201cThe rest of it is under investigation so I probably can’t say too much else about it.\u201d<\/h3>\n

\u201cBut Pep’s a young guy who made a mistake and we’ll get around him and support him.<\/h3>\n

“He’s pretty down in the dumps, pretty embarrassed about what happened. He’s only young, he’s a good kid but we’ll try to support him.<\/h3>\n

“There’s a fair bit of attention he’s come under and we just want to make sure he’s OK as well.”<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n
