UPDATE, 4.29pm — CFS advises that the threat posed by the COONALPYN fire near Cold & Wet Road has reduced.<\/h3>\n

“Be careful on the roads. Smoke will reduce visibility and trees and branches may fall.<\/p>\n

“Take care in the fire area over the next few days. Check your property for any fires and embers – particularly in roof spaces, under decks, raised floors and in gutters.”<\/p>\n

UPDATE, 3.47pm — WATCH AND ACT WARNING FOR COONALPYN AND TINTINARA.<\/h3>\n

The CFS advises a bushfire at Coonalpyn near Cold and Wet Road may threaten your safety. \u201cOnly leave if the path is clear to a safer place.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n

The CFS says it has gained the upper hand over two fires burning out of control — one in Birdwood and one in Stansbury.<\/h3>\n

By Monday afternoon the Birdwood fire had been contained to the west side of Warren Rd, but an ACT NOW warning was still in place:<\/p>\n
