Child molester Colin Charles Humphrys has won a bid to be released from prison and will live in the Bowden-Brompton area.<\/h3>\n

According to The Advertiser\u2019s court reporter Sean Fewster, Justice Trish Kelly refused Humphrys\u2019 application to suppress details of where he would live.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving weighed this up anxiously, the interests of justice are best served in exactly the way that\u2019s been put forward by prosecutors and, to some extent, by the media,\u201d Justice Kelly said.<\/h3>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s in the public interest, and it\u2019s in the interests of monitoring Humphrys, that the community is aware — generally speaking — of the Bowden-Brompton area.<\/h3>\n

\u201cThat way, if he\u2019s not where he should be, there will be more than just police looking for him.\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Humphrys served an eight-year term for taking a boy, 9, to Kings Cross in Sydney and abusing him in 1990-91. This was after he kidnapped another boy in QLD in 1985. In 2009, he was jailed for 19 years for abuse against another boy.<\/p>\n\n
