{"id":122855,"date":"2025-02-14T10:27:41","date_gmt":"2025-02-13T23:57:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/?p=122855"},"modified":"2025-02-14T10:27:42","modified_gmt":"2025-02-13T23:57:42","slug":"adelaide-crows-announce-board-appointments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/news\/adelaide-crows-announce-board-appointments\/","title":{"rendered":"Adelaide Crows Announce Board Appointments"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>AFC has announced the appointment of two new Board Directors.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/omny.fm\/shows\/the-fiveaa-sports-show\/rowey-and-timmy-g-react-to-port-succession-plan\/embed?style=cover\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write\" width=\"100%\" height=\"180\" frameborder=\"0\" title=\"Rowey and Timmy G react to Port succession plan\"><\/iframe>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.afc.com.au\/news\/1715935\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">club<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Highly experienced and successful administrator Neil Balme and former Crow James Gallagher have been appointed on three-year terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most respected figures in the game, Balme has been an architect of success at SANFL, VFL and AFL clubs, as a player, coach and administrator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As Adelaide\u2019s new Football Director, he will Chair the Football Strategy Committee and be part of the List Management Committee, and provide general support to the football department. Gallagher will also join both committees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the Constitution, Club legend Mark Ricciuto must retire from the Board at year\u2019s end, having reached his tenure limit after becoming a Director in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ricciuto will work closely with Balme and Gallagher during the coming 12-months and the timing of their appointments ensures a smooth transition.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Neil Balme and James Gallagher have been appointed to the Club&#39;s Board.<\/p>&mdash; Adelaide Crows (@Adelaide_FC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Adelaide_FC\/status\/1890182229810401684?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 13, 2025<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AFC has announced the appointment of two new Board Directors.
