{"id":123382,"date":"2025-02-26T11:51:08","date_gmt":"2025-02-26T01:21:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/?p=123382"},"modified":"2025-02-26T11:58:48","modified_gmt":"2025-02-26T01:28:48","slug":"development-in-north-adelaide-liv-golf-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/news\/development-in-north-adelaide-liv-golf-plan\/","title":{"rendered":"Development In North Adelaide LIV Golf Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Adelaide City Council has voted to authorise the Lord Mayor and CEO to begin formal negotiations to bring Adelaide\u2019s LIV Golf tournament to the North Adelaide Golf Course.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/omny.fm\/shows\/david-and-will\/jade-robran-with-update-on-dig-for-missing-beaumon\/embed?style=cover\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write\" width=\"100%\" height=\"180\" frameborder=\"0\" title=\"Jade Robran with update on dig for missing Beaumont children\"><\/iframe>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to a statement from Lord Mayor Jane Lomax-Smith:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Council has managed and invested in the golf course for more than 100 years and are the experts on its topography, drainage, biodiversity, heritage and soils,\u201d said the Lord Mayor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe now look forward to sharing our knowledge with the State Government to ensure the best possible outcome for the community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Lord Mayor said the Premier has already made it clear he is committed to the North Adelaide Golf Course remaining publicly owned and operated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Premier has also assured us that any fencing will be temporary and would only relate to the staging of the tournament,\u201d said the Lord Mayor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cImportantly, the Premier is also keen to see only a modest loss of significant trees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe City of Adelaide is committed to working closely with the Premier and his Government within the parameters of Council\u2019s adopted strategies and policies to achieve a mutually beneficial arrangement.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Adelaide City Council has voted to authorise the Lord Mayor and CEO to begin formal negotiations to bring Adelaide\u2019s LIV Golf tournament to the North Adelaide Golf Course.
