On arrival, the driver of the car was trapped and fire crews quickly worked to remove them from their vehicle. The driver was subsequently airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The driver of the truck, a 30-year-old-man from Mallala, was uninjured and is assisting police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Major Crash investigators are making their way to the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Port Wakefield Road is closed to all northbound traffic from Port Gawler Road and diversions are in place via Old Port Wakefield Road. Road users are asked to avoid the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone who witnessed this crash or has dashcam is asked to contact police.
