{"id":131197,"date":"2025-09-04T07:09:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-03T21:39:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/?p=131197"},"modified":"2025-09-04T07:09:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T21:39:11","slug":"more-than-a-dozen-fines-and-defects-for-hoon-drivers-overnight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/news\/more-than-a-dozen-fines-and-defects-for-hoon-drivers-overnight\/","title":{"rendered":"More Than A Dozen Fines And Defects For Hoon Drivers Overnight"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>More than a dozen fines and defects have been issued to hoon drivers at Penfield overnight.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/omny.fm\/shows\/evenings-with-leith-forrest\/afl-boss-in-trouble-for-breaking-gambling-rules\/embed?style=cover\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write\" width=\"100%\" height=\"180\" frameborder=\"0\" title=\"AFL Boss In Trouble For Breaking Gambling Rules?\"><\/iframe>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to SAPOL:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">About 10.40pm Wednesday 3 September, Northern District patrols were called to the vicinity of Taylors Road, Penfield Gardens after reports of cars doing burnouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As patrols arrived, the vehicles tried to flee but were intercepted by police who spoke with multiple drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An 18-year-old man from Walkley Heights was reported for driving while suspended and his Ford sedan was impounded for 28 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A further two vehicles were issued with defect notices and four drivers fined for various traffic offences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just before 3am Thursday 4 September, patrols were called back to the area with reports of further hoon driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two cars were stopped by officers at the scene with both vehicles issued defects and a driver fined for driving unregistered and without a number plate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Police will not tolerate reckless behaviour on South Australian roads and anyone who deliberately ignores the law will face consequences for their actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anyone aware of or witness to hoon driving behaviour is asked to immediately contact police on 131 444.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?height=314&#038;href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2F1395FIVEaa%2Fvideos%2F801061405939499%2F&#038;show_text=true&#038;width=560&#038;t=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"429\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowFullScreen=\"true\"><\/iframe>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than a dozen fines and defects have been issued to hoon drivers at Penfield overnight.
