David Campbell has unleashed on Jimmy Fallon in a playful rant on Channel 9’s Today Show<\/em> after learning that the host of The Tonight Show <\/em>took a jab at none other than his own father –  Barnesy – in a segment on the show called \u2018Do Not Play\u2019. <\/p>\n

\u201cHey Jimmy Fallon, big fan here,\u201d Campbell began.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cI just wanted to clear up that scream was my old man. His name is Jimmy Barnes. He\u2019s a national icon. I mean, you may as well have gone after the Sydney Harbour Bridge or lamingtons or Ferry McFerryface.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cDo you know how many babies have been made to my dad screaming over a loudspeaker? <\/em>Three-quarters<\/em> of the total population of Brisbane, my Yankee friend.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Campbell stared down at the camera and demanded that Fallon apologise for his words against our very own ‘Working Class Man’:<\/p>\n

\u201cI think you owe us, the Australian people, my father, <\/em>Barnesy<\/em>, a heartfelt apology.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd before you think that you\u2019re better than us here in Australia, let me remind you, we didn\u2019t elect a Trump,\u201d he joked. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Which, y\u2019know\u2026 is a fair point. <\/p>\n

The song Fallon was talking about was \u2018Big Enough\u2019 by Kirin J Callinan, which features Barnesy\u2019s iconic scream. He introduced the track and pleaded to have it turned off once Barnesy\u2019s er, bold sound, filled the studio:<\/p>\n

\u201cStop, stop, stop, stop it!\u201d He begged. <\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThe scream?! He really just kept going higher and higher.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

And if you\u2019re wondering whether or not Fallon has gone back to Campbell with that apology, he absolutely has not… Which Campbell has said he’s not exactly surprised about.<\/p>\n\n
