Motorists are being warned to expect long delays at the bottom of the Southern Expressway this weekend.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Advertiser<\/a> reports that Main South Rd traffic will be directed on to new roads between the expressway and Lincoln Rd beginning on Friday night, before a permanent solution is in place by Monday morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the switch, traffic will be continually monitored and managed to minimise disruption, but drivers are encouraged to plan ahead or use an alternate route,\u201d Mr Mullighan said.<\/h3>\n

\u201cMotorists are advised to plan ahead, allow additional travel time, take extra care when workers are on site and observe speed and lane restrictions.<\/h3>\n

\u201cThis section of South Rd is a notorious and frustrating bottleneck.\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Main South Rd, Flinders Dr and Sturt Rd will remain open.<\/p>\n\n
