{"id":136199,"date":"2026-01-25T08:48:33","date_gmt":"2026-01-24T22:18:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/?p=136199"},"modified":"2026-01-25T10:57:44","modified_gmt":"2026-01-25T00:27:44","slug":"kate-collins-joins-fiveaa-breakfast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/news\/kate-collins-joins-fiveaa-breakfast\/","title":{"rendered":"Kate Collins Joins FIVEAA Breakfast"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>FIVEAA has announced the addition of much-loved Adelaide Newsreader Kate Collins to the FIVEAA Breakfast Show for 2026 joining the show as a newsreader.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Joining existing newsreaders Jess Adamson, the ACRA award winning Mel Usher and Sport Reporter Tom Rehn, Collins will join hosts David Penberthy and Will Goodings each week in bringing listeners the news that matters to Adelaide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A mainstay of Channel 9\u2019s nightly news for over 19 years, Collins will join the show weekly, rotating shifts with Usher and Adamson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kate Collins said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFIVEAA has always led the way for breaking news across South Australia and David &amp; Will and their Breakfast Show are at the heart of that. They often drive the agenda for what&#8217;s reported throughout the day across news outlets, all over the state. It\u2019s &#8216;on the pulse news&#8217; at its best and I can&#8217;t wait to be a part of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I\u2019ve been no stranger to FIVEAA throughout the years, across various interviews and guest hosting roles, but to officially join the already formidable news team with Tom Rehn, Jess Adamson and Mel Usher, is a huge honour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I began my career as a journalist working in radio, so after all of these years it feels nice to be getting back to my roots.
