\u201cTwenty years ago it was an inspirational act, but the AFL changed the priority from inspiration out to consequence in. The consequence was the Giants second best midfielder went out the game for two-and-a-half quarters in a preliminary final. People say it was an accident but the AFL ruled out accidents and said there has to be a duty of care for the person playing the ball.<\/p>\n
