The AFL Match Review Panel will assess Port Adelaide defender Tom Jonas\u2019 hit on Western Bulldog Luke Dahlhaus.<\/h3>\n

Dahlhaus was floored by Jonas during the Power\u2019s win over the dogs on Saturday, but after the game both coaches predicted the defender would get off.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think everyone had come to realise it was an outcome-based penalty or sanctioning approach, regardless of the criteria,\u201d Luke Beveridge said. \u201cIf the player was injured or concussed from a head-high hit, then the perpetrator was likely to be in trouble. A player gets up and they’re fine, then the perpetrator’s probably okay.\u201d<\/p>\n

“So, I’d imagine Tom Jonas is probably fine because Luke’s okay.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Meanwhile Ken Hinkley said:<\/p>\n

“Knowing Tommy and knowing Tommy’s history it would have been in play and fair enough,” Hinkley said:<\/p>\n

“As a defender, you do body check your opponents all the time that is what you are supposed to do.<\/p>\n

“I think Luke got up and played on and was okay, without seeing it I suggest he’ll be okay.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
