{"id":15154,"date":"2017-05-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-05-21T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/uncategorized\/cassie-sainsbury-was-a-sex-worker-accoring-to-report\/"},"modified":"2017-05-21T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2017-05-21T00:00:00","slug":"cassie-sainsbury-was-a-sex-worker-accoring-to-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/news\/cassie-sainsbury-was-a-sex-worker-accoring-to-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Cassie Sainsbury was a sex worker: report"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Alleged Australian drug mule Cassie Sainsbury allegedly worked as a sex worker in western Sydney for months.<\/h3>\n<p>The claims, reported by 60 Minutes, came as her lawyer told the program a mystery man threatened to kill her or her family before she was allegedly caught with 5.8kg of cocaine in a Colombian airport.<\/p>\n<p>Lawyer Orlando Herran told the Nine Network program the 22-year-old was in financial trouble after problems with her fitness business when she answered a Craigslist ad offering a loan and trip to London.<\/p>\n<p>He said the itinerary was changed at the last minute before Sainsbury met a mystery man, who showed her pictures of her family and fiance and made threats in Colombia.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;If you don&#8217;t get to fly we will be threatening or killing your family or you,&#8221; Mr Herran, who said the woman tried to back out of her return itinerary, told 60 Minutes.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The program also revealed the personal trainer spent five months last year allegedly working as a sex worker at western Sydney brothel, Club 220.<\/p>\n<p>A woman claiming to be a former colleague from the brothel said Sainsbury would fly in and out from Adelaide for work stints at the club.<\/p>\n<p>She said other sex workers gave Sainsbury money when she falsely claimed her mother had died.<\/p>\n<p>The South Australian&#8217;s story has attracted significant media attention, with her fiance Scott Broadbridge exclusively telling the Seven Network&#8217;s Sunday Night he believes Sainsbury is innocent, despite lying to him about her work and her trip.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Broadbridge said she had told him she was working for her uncle&#8217;s cleaning company before he sold the business to a mysterious couple named Karen and June, who allegedly paid for her trip to Colombia.<\/p>\n<p>But Neil Sainsbury denied owning a cleaning business, believing his niece was a drug mule.<\/p>\n<p>Her father Stuart said his daughter&#8217;s story didn&#8217;t add up.<\/p>\n<p>Sainsbury is being held at a Bogota prison, after 5.8kg of cocaine were allegedly found inside 18 headphone cases inside her luggage at El Dorado International Airport in April.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Broadbridge, who is being investigated by Australian police, denied he or his fiancee had ever been drug dealers, saying &#8220;we are both against drugs&#8221;.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t know if the business she worked for set her up from Colombia.
