Salt Creek kidnapper Roman Heinze has been sentenced to 22 years and four months jail.<\/h3>\n

Heinze will serve at least 17 years before he is eligible for release, reports The Advertiser\u2019s chief court reporter Sean Fewster<\/a> who was at the packed sentencing hearing.<\/p>\n

Justice Trish Kelly said she had no reason to believe Heinze would ever rehabilitate:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cYour offences were utterly depraved,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYours is not the conduct of a civilised human being but an enraged and somewhat primitive man lacking any moral compass whatsoever.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have presented as a morose, forlorn and somewhat pathetic character in the dock (but) you are a very dangerous person, especially to the young women you have sought out on the internet.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

None of Heinze\u2019s backpacker victims was present.<\/p>\n

The 61-year-old was previously found guilty of six charges including indecent assault, aggravated kidnapping and endangering life in relation to the incidents at the remote beach on the SA Coorong in February last year.<\/p>\n
