And we weren&#8217;t able to do that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Walker said Adelaide&#8217;s leadership core had shouldered the blame for the loss:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I will put my hand up first &#8211; it was probably one of my poorer games this year and in the last two or three years,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;So I need to review that not only as a player, but as a leader.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Sometimes you just need to make decisions on-field, whether it&#8217;s the right or wrong one, you need to deal with that during the week.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s a learning curve for us as leaders.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Walker&#8217;s fellow forward Tom Lynch will face fitness tests later this week after being concussed in the loss to the Roos.<\/p>\n<p>And Walker said the Crows would be hell-bent on winning their share of contested ball against Melbourne on Saturday night at Adelaide Oval.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have been top two for contested footy and we understand how important contested footy is to our game plan,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As soon as we go away from that we will get the results we had on the weekend.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>-With AAP<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>MOST POPULAR<\/h3>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/shows\/david-and-will\/superstar-chef-s-amazing-tribute-to-an-adelaide-restaurant\">STAR CHEF\u2019S AMAZING TRIBUTE TO AN ADELAIDE RESTAURANT<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/shows\/rowey-bicks\/caroline-wilson-gives-port-adelaide-a-clip-around-the-ear\"><strong>CAROLINE WILSON GIVES PORT ADELAIDE A CLIP AROUND THE EAR<\/strong><\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Adelaide Crows captain Taylor Walker admits he played one of his worst games in three years on the weekend.
