It is unknown at this time if the man is suffering a mental health episode.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo person was directly threatened during this incident and no one was injured.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis incident was not terrorism related.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>UPDATE, 11.11am &#8212;&nbsp;Reporting from the scene, FIVEAA news director Matthew Pantelis said witnesses had seen a man smash a window in his car with a gas bottle before driving away.<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of glass on the footpath down the side of the Hilton hotel,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis chap has driven off in a westerly direction along Grote St.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPolice no doubt would be keen to speak to anyone who witnessed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said the incident appeared to be a \u201cone off\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EARLIER&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Leon Byner was contacted by an eyewitness reporting a vehicle driving on a city footpath on Monday morning.<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve just had a report\u2026 and this was from an eyewitness who called us and we\u2019ve reported it to police,\u201d Leon said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSomebody has driven a vehicle on the footpath at Grote St just outside the Hilton hotel with some gas bottles on the bonnet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cApparently they were ranting and raving and police are investigating.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"856\" width=\"783\" class=\"media-element file-default nova-lazyload-image-wrapper lz-cont img-responsive\" data-delta=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/screen_shot_2017-02-06_at_11.01.02_am.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>MOST POPULAR<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/shows\/sportsday\/adelaide-crow-tipped-to-leave-next-year\"><strong>THE ADELAIDE CROW TIPPED TO LEAVE NEXT YEAR<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/shows\/sportsday\/kane-cornes-links-superstar-to-possible-deal-for-nat-fyfe\"><strong>KANE CORNES LINKS SUPERSTAR TO POSSIBLE DEAL FOR NAT FYFE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UPDATE, 12.09pm &#8212; Man arrested.
