I\u2019ve got another years before technically you\u2019re ok.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>LISTEN HERE:<\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"no\" height=\"166\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/301989506&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>He said the moment he was diagnosed was \u201csurreal\u2026 everything\u2019s in slow motion\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>But reality soon kicked in.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just clicked into business mode and said, right, what do I need to do.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe way I dealt with it was really quite front foot, quite assertive, took control. The family gathered around and they were awesome.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But he remembers his wife Sylvia\u2019s horror after Googling oesophagus cancer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSylv was white as a ghost and just staring at the computer\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t say on air what she said, but she said you\u2019re\u2026 because it reads really bad. It doesn\u2019t read good.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Anthony relied on a couple of techniques to cope with the ordeal &#8212; including documenting his treatment in a blog.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe way I was able to deal with it is firstly I talked a lot about it. And the blog was really helpful for me because I was able dump stuff.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat was my way of dealing with it.
