But now is the time. Now is the place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kate went on to describe a traumatic moment she experienced while flying around the country to scatter her husband\u2019s ashes who had recently committed suicide:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOne afternoon I found myself on the receiving end of an agent with a power trip like no other.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter several threats telling me I was going to have to toss the ashes and me going ballistic and falling into hysterics\u2026 I made it to the airport bar still crying and clutching my little container.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Kate was sobbing inside the airport bar when &#8212; to her amazement &#8212; she was approached by Robin Williams, who had just seen what had happened.<\/p>\n<p>Kate told Robin the sad reason why she was travelling around the country with a box of ashes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis eyes got a little glossy. His voice got softer. And he said to me, \u2018Addiction is a real bitch. Mental illness and depression are the mother of all bitches. I am so sorry for all the pain your husband was in. I\u2019m so sorry for the pain you are in now. But it sounds like you have family and friends and love. And that tips the scale a bit, right?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Kate, Robin then walked her to her departure gate, turning her mood and getting her laughing on the way.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cHe told me I had a wonderful laugh. A beautiful smile. And when we parted ways, he hugged me. With his famously hairy arms, he gave me a huge, warm, bear hug, and it sustained me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a moment I think about all the time. That moment saved me. And sustained me.
