{"id":16400,"date":"2016-12-13T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-12-13T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/uncategorized\/sa-freeway-closed-after-bad-collision\/"},"modified":"2016-12-13T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2016-12-13T00:00:00","slug":"sa-freeway-closed-after-bad-collision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/news\/sa-freeway-closed-after-bad-collision\/","title":{"rendered":"SE Freeway closed after bad collision"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6>Image | 7 News<\/h6>\n<h3>UPDATE, 9:28am &#8212; Freeway re-opened.<\/h3>\n<p>Jane Reilly reports that police have re-opened the section of the SE Freeway previously closed off following a bad crash involving four vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>EARLIER\u2026<\/p>\n<h3>The SE Freeway is closed between Hahndorf and Bridgewater for city bound traffic following a collision involving three cars and a truck.<\/h3>\n<p>A medivac helicopter landed at the scene to take a woman with serious injuries to hospital, police told FIVEAA breakfast on Wednesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Police also advised tow trucks are on their way, but are finding it difficult to make their way through the traffic jam.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of people are going to be slowed down this morning. Please be careful and take your time,\u201d a senior constable told FIVEAA.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"947\" width=\"1116\" class=\"media-element file-default nova-lazyload-image-wrapper lz-cont img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/screen_shot_2016-12-14_at_8.34.43_am.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>FIVEAA\u2019s Jane Reilly was driving nearby in the opposite direction shortly after the crash.<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cIt was so eerie to see the SE freeway at this time of day with not a single car on it,&#8221; she told David and Will.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did pull over to see what was going on but got moved on by police.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said she could see a \u201clarge truck\u2026 it looked like a semi-trailer\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt looked like a crane was involved trying to move the cars of the freeway.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She warned listeners about taking to slippery back roads to try and escape the traffic jam.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey can be quite nasty\u2026 and more people than usual using them.
