4:43pm — Reports the estimated time to restore power is 4am Thursday morning.<\/h3>\n

4:29pm — Power is OUT across South Australia after an \u201cupstream\u201d problem with an interconnector after the last storm, SA Power Networks tells FIVEAA.<\/h3>\n

SAPN\u2019s Paul Roberts said: \u201cThe whole state is without supply. We\u2019re not receiving any supply from the upstream transmission network\u2026 we believe there\u2019s been some issue with the interconnector to Victoria, and has resulted in South Australia losing its power.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said take extreme care — \u201cThere wont be any traffic lights available.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some intersections with battery backup appear to be still working.<\/p>\n

Paul Roberts said it would take hours for power to be restored.<\/p>\n

Adelaide Metro reports that the Seaford and Tonsley trains are not running during to the power outage \u2013 all others are operating as close to schedule as possible.<\/p>\n

It also advises that trams are not running buses are experiencing delays.<\/p>\n

3:43pm \u2013 Next wave of the super storm rolls in.<\/h3>\n

The BOM has made a statement<\/a> warning residents about a severe thunderstorm scheduled to hit Adelaide on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

\u201cHeavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and damaging wind gusts of 90-100 km\/h are expected in the Adelaide Metropolitan and Mount Lofty Ranges districts. Large hailstones are not expected in these districts,\u201d the BOM said.<\/p>\n

It also warned of severe thunderstorms likely to produce destructive wind gusts up to 140 km\/h, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones affecting Whyalla, Clare, Maitland, Hawker and Leigh Creek.<\/p>\n
