Not surprised really,\u201d he tweeted.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"426\" width=\"792\" class=\"media-element file-default nova-lazyload-image-wrapper lz-cont img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/screen_shot_2016-05-23_at_1.02.09_pm.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cornesy later clarified, tweeting:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHate to see anyone hurt but football accidents happen when two guys are going at the ball from different directions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, a contrite Jonas spoke to media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to say how remorseful I am with the incident on Saturday night,\u201d he said. \u201cI contacted Andrew after the game and he accepted my apology.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;ll be doing my best to earn respect back from my teammates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI play on the edge&#8230; I&#8217;m a tough, physical competitor. I&#8217;m not making any excuses, in this instance I made the wrong decision<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the end of the day, I did the crime, so I&#8217;ll do the time. I&#8217;ll be making up for what I&#8217;ve done,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Leach\u2019s co-host on Melbourne radio station SEN David Schwarz said he thought Jonas would cop a three to four week ban.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know you had the Twitter war with Graham Cornes, and I don\u2019t agree with Cornesy unfortunately.
