After Jackson Trengove played the game of his life in ruck for Port Adelaide on the weekend, Ollie Wines was asked on FIVEAA breakfast whether the Power have solved their ruck woes.<\/h3>\n

\u201cYeah in a way, definitely,\u201d Ollie told David and Will. \u201cI think the game on the weekend shows that there isn\u2019t a real resemblance between hit-outs and clearances.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got done by 40 hit-outs, I think, but won clearances by 18, so go figure that.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnless the ruckman\u2019s putting them down the throat of the opposition, they\u2019re not really going to do anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Makeshift ruckman Trengove had 13 clearances against Brisbane in what former teammate Kane Cornes said was Trengove\u2019s best ever game for the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Jackson Trengove to come and play his role in the ruck and probably not get as many dominant hit-outs, but do his role at clearance to win clearances around the ground, really got us driving forward,\u201d Ollie said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe back us to win the scramble ball that\u2019s on the ground.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously Jacko is pretty agile and moves around pretty well and was able to win a lot of ball on the ground.<\/p>\n

\u201cUp against Stefan Martin, who\u2019s a pretty decent ruckman, it was a great job,\u201d Wines said.<\/p>\n
