We see today\u2019s announcement as another important step in bringing the people of Australia and China together through a mutual passion for sport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur partnership with CCTV is more than just entertainment; it is about understanding. Through our regular AFL programs on CCTV, the viewers in China will see more of Australia and learn more about our culture and Australian life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>EARLIER<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Port Adelaide has signed a three-year partnership with Chinese property developer Shanghai Cred, which will see the club lead the way in developing Australian football in China.<\/h3>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.portadelaidefc.com.au\/news\/2016-04-14\/port-signs-deal-with-shanghai-cred\" target=\"_blank\">portadelaidefc.com<\/a>, the partnership means Port Adelaide will:<\/p>\n<p><em>Hold annual training camps in Shanghai.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Continue to sponsor the South China AFL, Guandong AFL, Team China and Auskick programs as part of the arrangement.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Produce AFL programs and broadcast games into China via China Central Television (CCTV) and other networks.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Conduct business events in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Port Adelaide CEO Keith Thomas says the deal will make the club stronger.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe most pleasing element of this partnership is that it goes well beyond the football field,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis partnership significantly strengthens Port Adelaide providing us with the confidence and ability to continue to grow our football club.
