As part of an experiment to understand what having a migraine is like, friends and family of sufferers have undergone a disorientating virtual reality experience.<\/h3>\n

A team worked with each sufferer to perfectly simulate what getting a migraine is like for them. Their personal symptoms \u2013 blinking lights, floating spots, diminishing or blurry vision \u2013 were then incorporated into a virtual reality experience.<\/p>\n

Each participant wore a headset loaded with their loved one\u2019s customised experience and then tried to go about their day.<\/p>\n
