A mother previously opposed to vaccinations has back flipped on the issue after she passed whooping cough along to her newborn baby. <\/h3>\n

In a video produced by Gold Coast Health, first time mum Cormit Avital admits that her previous opinion of vaccines was that she “didn’t need this crap”.<\/p>\n

But now she\u2019s trying to spread a different message.<\/p>\n

“If I could turn back time I would protect myself,” the young mother said. “It’s been a nightmare.”<\/p>\n

After Cormit gave birth she discovered she had whooping cough and that it had been passed onto her daughter. <\/p>\n

“Even me, the bulletproof lady who has never been to a doctor, travelled the world and felt healthy got whooping cough,” she said.<\/p>\n

“It’s just so hard to watch this tiny little thing … go from red to blue, sometime they go a bit black, and for a moment you think they are dead in your hands, they flop.<\/p>\n

“It’s a lot of suffering for a tiny little thing you love so much,” she said.<\/p>\n
