BUT you need to stop taking your phone to the bathroom immediately. <\/p>\n

Scientist have revealed that it\u2019s probably one of the most disgusting things you can do. Experts Charles Gerba, Ph.D professor of microbiology, and Kelly Reynolds, associate professor of environment health at the University of Arizona, told Buzzfeed<\/a> <\/em>that this habit can actually make you very sick. <\/p>\n

\u201cBathrooms are covered in germs, pathogens, and enteric bacteria (from the intestinal tract), mostly from faecal matter. When you flush the toilet, water with faeces and urine spray about six feet in every direction.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So if you have your phone out inside this ‘strike zone’, well, now it’s a large, disgusting habitat of other people\u2019s bacteria.<\/p>\n

So think about it this way – you may not eat a sandwich on the toilet BUT you would check your phone while you eat food.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe average person uses their cell phone for two hours a day, so it\u2019s very easy to recontaminate your hands and transmit the germs to yourself or someone else.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Yes, we all know that it\u2019s completely gross to use your phone on the toilet but it isn\u2019t until someone points it out likes this — in disgusting detail — that you realise just what a bad habit it actually is.<\/p>\n
