Ken Hinkley has hit back at reports he interfered at former club Gold Coast where he remains in contact with several players, saying the comments are offensive.<\/h3>\n

Hinkley said he was offended by a report in a Queensland newspaper over the summer that the Suns were frustrated with their former assistant, accusing the now Power senior coach of meddling.<\/p>\n

“I thought it was really disrespectful,\u201d Hinkley told 3AW.<\/p>\n

“One \u2013 that they were probably questioning my values a bit (and) what I may, or may not, have been doing.<\/p>\n

“And two \u2013 the relationships I had with players.”<\/p>\n

Port Adelaide recruited former Suns star Charlie Dixon during the off-season, and Hinkley said he is also still in touch with players he coached at Geelong.<\/p>\n

“Some of it (criticism) was that I shouldn’t even be speaking with these people,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I find that a little bit offensive.”<\/p>\n
