A man who threatened to break a seven-year-old girl\u2019s legs on a flight from Adelaide to Brisbane and who verbally abused the child\u2019s mother has been fined $750.<\/h3>\n

Brett Walter John Gale, 32, reportedly exploded at the child on a Virgin flight in August last year when she began kicking the back of his seat.<\/p>\n

\u201cStop kicking the f***ing seat,\u201d Gale is quoted as yelling at the seven-year-old.<\/p>\n

\u201cGo on, kick the f***ing seat again and I will break your f***ing legs.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Brisbane Magistrate\u2019s Court heard that when the plane landed in Brisbane, Gale swore at and verbally abused the mother of the child, demanding that she discipline the child.<\/h3>\n

When another passenger intervened, Gale grabbed the man by the shirt and threatened him.<\/p>\n

Gale pleaded guilty to offensive and disorderly conduct and was fined $750.<\/p>\n

The magistrate told Gale he should have ignored the child instead of inciting her.<\/h3>\n

Speaking in FIVEAA breakfast, David Penberthy said Gale had a lengthy history of similar behaviour.<\/p>\n

Gale\u2019s rap sheet includes a suspended sentence for burglary and serious assault, as well as fines for offensive behaviour, wilful exposure and another suspended jail sentence for assault and stalking.<\/p>\n
