Roger Federer\u2019s post-match press conference was already pretty tense after losing to Novak Djokovic\u2026 But then this happened\u2026<\/h3>\n

Last night\u2019s semi-final between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer wasn\u2019t the epic showdown fans wanted – Djokovic defeating Federer in four sets 6-1 6-2 3-6 6-3.<\/p>\n

As a rule of thumb, somebody who dedicates their life to sport and winning, isn\u2019t going to be in the best mood directly after losing at their sport of choice.<\/p>\n

In this case, it was Roger Federer who was in a pretty foul mood already after losing out to Djokovic last night.<\/p>\n

And when a journalist appeared to suggest Novak’s reign at the top was during a time of tougher competition than Roger’s own reign through the mid-naughties, it didn’t go down too well.<\/p>\n

\"FERDERE\"<\/p>\n

Djokovic defeated Federer in four sets.<\/h6>\n

Federer was initially pretty stunned – staring at the reporter in silence before responding.<\/h3>\n

It seems he wasn\u2019t impressed with the fact that the journo had pretty much implied that players aren\u2019t as good as they were back in the day.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got to be careful how to phrase the question,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t want to disrespect the other players. You don\u2019t have to face them, I\u2019ve got to face them,\u201d he said before calling the query a \u201cstupid question\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

News.com.au is reporting the crowd seemed to be in favour of Federer – with a much more audible cheer after every win, as opposed to a quieter cheer for Serb, Djokovic.<\/p>\n

The same journo that got under Federer\u2019s skin managed to poise a similarly irritating towards the Serb, questioning how he felt about Federer receiving the majority of the crowd\u2019s support.<\/p>\n

\u201cI try not to focus on that. I feel like I enjoy a lot of support around the world,\u201d Novak said.<\/h3>\n

\u201cWhen I play Roger it\u2019s expected … he\u2019s loved and respected around the world. For me it\u2019s normal in a way.\u201d<\/p>\n
