What a year she\u2019s had! She became a role model for trans people everywhere, showing great bravery in breaking down barriers and destroying stereotypes. She didn\u2019t do a lot for women drivers, but you can\u2019t do everything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>He also took a big swing at the awards themselves:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs if film stars would stay away from the chance of winning a Golden Globe \u2013 particularly if their film companies have already paid for it,\u201d Gervais said. \u201cIf you do win tonight, remember that no one cares about that award as much as you do. OK? Don\u2019t get emotional \u2013 it\u2019s embarrassing. That award is, no offense, worthless.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-default nova-lazyload-image-wrapper lz-cont img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/gervaus.jpg\" width=\"470\" height=\"1050\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When hosting the Globes in the past Gervais has revelled in delivering cringe-worthy gags at the expense of people in the room.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI like a drink as much as the next man.
