“How would you test a toaster?” WHAT!<\/h3>\n

Interviews are nerve-wracking on the best of days but some of the questions Apple is known to ask are downright scary. <\/h3>\n

A recent post on Glassdoor<\/a> has revealed some of the toughest, strangest questions that future employees get asked. <\/p>\n

Some are math problems, while others are so vague that you might not even know what you’re being asked. <\/p>\n

Here are some examples:<\/p>\n

“How many children are born everyday?” <\/strong><\/p>\n

Would an average person really know the answer to that question? But in case you’re ever going for a job at Apple the answer is roughly 361,481. <\/p>\n

“How would you test a toaster?”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ok, what?!?! Wouldn’t you just put some bread in it and see if it works? <\/p>\n

“There are three boxes, one contains only apples, one contains only oranges, and one contains both apples and oranges. The boxes have been incorrectly labelled such that no label identifies the actual contens of the box it labels. Opening just one box, and without looking in the box, you take one piece of fruit. By looking at the fruit, how can you immediately label all of the boxes correctly?”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Um what. We feel like they’d be out to trick you with this one!<\/p>\n

“Are you creative? What’s something creative that you can think of right now?”<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s pretty straight forward, but it’s always difficult to come up with an answer for this one on the spot. <\/p>\n

Some other questions include: <\/p>\n

– How would you breakdown the cost of this pen?<\/strong><\/p>\n

-Who is your best friend? <\/strong><\/p>\n

-You have 100 coins laying flat on a table, each with a head side and a tail side. 10 of them are heads up, 90 are tails up. You can’t feel, see or in any other way find out which side is up. Split the coins into piles such that there are the same number of heads in each pile.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Are you smart?<\/strong><\/p>\n
