There are certain things that people do with only the best intentions.<\/h3>\n

Here are a few of the most annoying things people do while they’re only trying to be polite…<\/p>\n

1. Ignore road rules<\/h3>\n

Like when you’re standing on the footpath waiting for cars to drive past so you can walk across the road, and a driver stops and waves you across infront of them. They don’t have to stop. There’s no crossing. Now you have to cross in front of this driver while they hold up traffic, even though you were totally okay with waiting for a safe, suitable gap.<\/p>\n

Don’t be a nice driver. Be a correct driver.<\/p>\n

2. Open a packet of chips slowly<\/em> at the movies<\/h3>\n

They think it’s making the noise quieter, but it’s actually the exact same volume and now will take 9 times as long.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

3. Refuse to tell someone there’s something in their teeth<\/h3>\n

It’s LESS polite to let someone walk around with something in their teeth \/ on their face.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

4. Talk to old people like they’re children<\/h3>\n

Also, talking to children like they’re babies is just as bad.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

5. Give someone verbal directions<\/h3>\n

…Instead of just giving you the address and letting Google Maps work its magic. What people really need to know is where to park and where the entry is, not another person’s crazy way of getting there.<\/p>\n

6. Close a door way too slowly because someone is sleeping<\/h3>\n

7. Not accepting a gift<\/h3>\n

Sometimes these situations go back and forth for what feels like forever. Why can’t the receiver understand that the giver wants them to have the gift?<\/p>\n

8. Try to help you clean up<\/h3>\n

It’s a nice gesture, but most people have a certain way of doing things in the kitchen that guests will either mess up or get in the way of. Your stuff will end up all over the place.<\/p>\n

9. Breakup pity<\/h3>\n

Most people who have just broken up are trying to get over it – constantly pitying them won’t help them do that. Just treat them as you normally would so they can go back to feeling normal.<\/p>\n

10. Be indecisive<\/h3>\n

“Where do you want me to drop you off?”<\/p>\n

“Wherever is convenient for you.”<\/p>\n

“Is next to the cinemas okay?”<\/p>\n

“Yeah, or wherever, like, on the other side of carpark is also fine.”<\/p>\n

“So which one is it?”<\/p>\n

“Whichever you’d prefer.”<\/p>\n

“I’D PREFER YOU TO JUST MAKE UP YOUR MIND AND TELL ME!”<\/p>\n

11. Tell grieving family members that their loved one is “in a better place now”.<\/h3>\n

Umm… yeah actually the best place for them was when they were alive and well with their family.<\/p>\n
