It seems even these days tattoos can still be a deal breaker. A woman has been fired 30 minutes after bring hired due to a tattoo…<\/h3>\n

Claire Shepherd applied for the role of a retail merchandiser and after a phone interview she was offered a job. <\/p>\n

BUT 30 minutes after hiring her they learnt she had a visible tattoo on her hand and sent her an email saying they would longer be employing her. <\/p>\n

Claire shared her story on Facebook saying, \u201cI emailed them explaining that I had hand tattoos and hope this wouldn\u2019t affect my new job\u2026 I was shocked when they replied and said they would no longer be employing me. I was perfect for the job due to my skills, previous experience and flexibility. I\u2019m shocked that people still discriminate again visible tattoos.\u201d<\/p>\n

The company said that her intricate tattoo could cause offence and that is why the could no longer hire her. <\/p>\n

After Claire\u2019s Facebook post went viral, the company backtracked and offered her job back. But Claire declined the role.<\/p>\n
