This high school maths problem appeared in a recent higher maths paper in Scotland…<\/h3>\n

The question, set by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), was shared by one user on image sharing site Imgur a quickly racked up a million views \u2013 no doubt by many very confused people! <\/p>\n

Can you solve it?<\/p>\n

Countless capable adults have been left scratching their heads over the question, so who knows how teenagers can be expected to solve it!<\/p>\n

In fact, the whole paper was deemed so hard that the passing mark was lowered to just 34%.<\/p>\n
