{"id":21126,"date":"2015-10-13T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-10-13T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/uncategorized\/horrifying-crash-footage-shows-final-moments-of-young-lives\/"},"modified":"2015-10-13T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2015-10-13T00:00:00","slug":"horrifying-crash-footage-shows-final-moments-of-young-lives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/news\/horrifying-crash-footage-shows-final-moments-of-young-lives\/","title":{"rendered":"Horrifying crash footage shows final moments of young lives"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>This haunting and terrifying footage has gone viral after the families of two young men killed in a horrific speeding accident chose to release video of their final moments as a warning to others.<\/h3>\n<p>Sussex Police posted the footage to their Faceboook page with a warning that <strong>\u201cViewers may find this video distressing\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The video shows British man Michael Owen, 21, shouting encouragement to his 20-year-old mate Kyle Careford as they speed through the English countryside \u2013 high on both drugs and adrenaline<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;C&#8217;mon, C&#8217;mon!&#8221; Michael can be heard shouting as the car accelerates up to 90 miles (144km) per hour.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The mobile phone footage shows their surroundings as just a blur, when Owen, who begins sounding increasingly fearful, shouts: &#8220;Slow down bruv, we are doing 90!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>What happens next is really horrifying. Watch below, but <strong>warning: some viewers may find this footage upsetting.<\/strong><\/p>\n[bc_video player_id=&#8221;JWbQKFO6Y&#8221; account_id=&#8221;8394117001&#8243; video_id=&#8221;4553634187001&#8243;]\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Michael\u2019s mother Kat explained the family&#8217;s reason for releasing the footage: \u201cI really don\u2019t know why the boys chose to do what they did, but I blame them both for the decisions they made on this night.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf all this stops one person from making the same mistake, then some good has come from showing this video. I\u2019m hoping it will have an impact on young people and make them see that a bit of fun can have such devastating consequences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would like all the young people out there to take notice and realise that you are not invincible and take seriously how precious your lives are to yourselves and others.
