\u201cHe (Carey) has never actually gone out of his way to say sorry \u2014 for whatever reason,\u201d Stevens told Mike Sheahan in an episode of Open Mike on Fox Footy.<\/p>\n
\u201cI had known for a while, but until you can actually catch the individuals, it is pretty big speculation to query someone about that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the end, I was the one that actually caught the two of them that night.\u201d<\/p>\n
Stevens has never before spoken publicly about the scandal, and Fox Sports reports that in the interview Stevens also said:<\/p>\n
HE never wants<\/strong> anything to do with Carey, but has a cordial relationship with his ex-wife for the sake of their two kids.<\/p>\n HE is still concerned<\/strong> when he sees people stroking Carey\u2019s ego because it may allow his former teammate to believe he is \u201cinvincible\u201d again.<\/p>\n THE culpability<\/strong> for the affair was solely with Carey and Kelli, saying he felt sorry for Carey\u2019s then-wife Sally.<\/p>\n THE media storm<\/strong> that erupted after the news broke meant he and Kelli never had the chance to work on repairing their marriage, though they tried unsuccessfully for a time.<\/p>\n HE had never read<\/strong> Carey\u2019s tell-all book, The Truth Hurts, because he believed there was a \u201cfair bit of exaggeration in it\u201d.<\/p>\n GLENN Archer showed<\/strong> the true meaning of loyalty by barely leaving his side for almost a month after the incident to ensure he was fine.<\/p>\n Carey reportedly never apologised for the affair, and Sheahan asked Stevens whether he would accept one now.<\/p>\n \u201cNo, probably not.
