On Thursday, people were freaking out about the space crab monster that appeared to be hiding amongst the red rocks of Mars.<\/h3>\n

Now though in a very eerie image taken from NASA\u2019s Rover, theorists have pointed to a figure that appears to look altogether more HUMAN on the surface of the planet.<\/p>\n

\"Mars<\/p>\n

The \u2018Grey lady\u2019 of Mars is most likely just a rock formation but theorists on \u2018UFO Sightings Daily\u2019 say that it\u2019s proof that there IS life out there. <\/p>\n

They wrote: \u201cThe woman seems to have breasts…indicated by the shadow on its chest.\u201d<\/p>\n

“We also see two arms that are lighter in color and what looks like a head with long hair.<\/p>\n

“Its hard to tell if this is a living being, or a statue of a being from long ago.<\/p>\n

“However, a statue that small would be eroded and destroyed easily, so it has a higher chance of being a living being.\u201d<\/p>\n

“Also it is facing the Mars rover…watching it from a distance.”<\/p>\n

\"Mars\"<\/p>\n

Speaking about the \u201cspace crab<\/a>\u201d that appeared on Thursday, Seth Shostak, senior astronomer at the Center for SETI Research, said he put down the apparent appearance to a phenomenon called pareidolia. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s the same effect that causes people to see animals in clouds \u2013 it\u2019s because of the brain’s preference to see shapes in random objects.<\/p>\n

He says he gets sent similar images showing formations like the crab about once a week.<\/p>\n

“Those that send them to me are generally quite excited, as they claim that these frequently resemble something you wouldn’t expect to find on the rusty, dusty surface of the Red Planet.<\/p>\n

“It’s usually some sort of animal, but occasionally even weirder objects such as automobile parts. Maybe they think there are cars on Mars.”<\/p>\n
