He is a tough character but it doesn\u2019t sit right with me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Matthew Hayden was less diplomatic when he voiced his disapproval in a column for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.news.com.au\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">news.com.au<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter the hell he\u2019s gone through it is outrageous that Brad Haddin hasn\u2019t gotten his spot back for the third Ashes Test,\u201d Hayden wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny mum and dad who has experienced the issues Brad and his wife Karina are going through will understand there\u2019s no way he was in position to play cricket at Lord\u2019s. But now that it\u2019s happened, it\u2019s behind them and Brad\u2019s been retained on tour, he just has to play.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat kind of precedent do the selectors want to set? It doesn\u2019t say much for the family-first policy if Brad puts his family first and all of a sudden he\u2019s out.
