AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan confirms Adelaide’s game against Geelong this weekend will be cancelled in the wake of Phil Walsh’s tragic death.<\/h3>\n

McLachlan confirmed that premiership points will be split between the two clubs.<\/p>\n

He also confirmed that the remaining seven AFL games will go ahead from Friday night.<\/p>\n

McLachlan paid tribute to Walsh, calling him \u201cA man of boundless energy, enthusiasm and great intelligence\u201d.<\/p>\n

He also expressed solidarity with the Adelaide Football Club. “The industry is with you,” McLachlan said.<\/p>\n
