Adelaide Crows coach Phil Walsh has been told to get a work-life balance amidst fears he will burn out if he continues to breathe and sleep football.<\/h3>\n

Walsh has become known for his obsessive and passionate style during his first season as Adelaide coach.<\/p>\n

The club’s chief executive Andrew Fagan and chairman Rob Chapman told him on Wednesday to delegate more tasks in the second half of the season.<\/p>\n

“They said to me, `that’s 10 weeks down, Walshy, you really can’t keep operating this way, you’ve got to try and empower a few more people to get your work-life balance in order’,” Walsh told Fox Sports.<\/p>\n

“I’m hopefully going to try and do that in the second half of the year.”<\/p>\n

Walsh admitted he might struggle to adjust his style.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve got a mate who rings me to check if I\u2019ve had a surf each week. The week before the players had the week off, I made sure that I didn\u2019t coach and (the players) didn\u2019t hear my voice for a week, so I\u2019ve tried to freshen up that way,\u201d Walsh said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did get a little bit tired. I did look at my press conferences prior to the Carlton game and I could see that I was little bit tired, so I\u2019m energised and hopefully I\u2019ll coach the best I\u2019ve coached all year.\u201d<\/p>\n
