Speaking at the Press Club, Treasurer Joe Hockey had a message for South Australia.<\/h3>\n

\u201cCan I just specifically direct this at Adelaide and south Australia,\u201d Mr Hockey said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very bullish about the future of south Australia. Why? Because you have it. You\u2019ve got the capacity to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Hockey mentioned SA\u2019s \u201cfantastic export industry\u201d, including wine and quality produce, before name checking some of his favourite SA locations.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd by god I love going to Kangaroo Island!\u201d the Treasurer said.<\/p>\n

He also took the opportunity to take a swing at Premier Jay Weatherill.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is a fantastic state with enormous potential, but also it\u2019s a state that should start to believe in itself.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately you\u2019ve got a premier that keeps talking you down,\u201d Mr Hockey said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I actually believe with my colleagues from South Australia that there\u2019s huge upside opportunity in that state.\u201d<\/p>\n
