The caller said that a dog was curled up on their doorstep, shaking. This brave young Husky \u2013 who we have named Hero \u2013 is suffering from a range of very serious ailments.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-default nova-lazyload-image-wrapper lz-cont img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/hero1.jpg\" width=\"589\" height=\"786\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>He is extremely underweight and has a very serious case of long-standing demodectic mange, causing severe secondary skin infections. He also has an injury to his right rear leg, indicating he may have been hit by a car.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"media-element file-default nova-lazyload-image-wrapper lz-cont img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/hero4.jpg\" width=\"875\" height=\"656\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>RSPCA South Australia\u2019s veterinary team is providing Hero with emergency treatment for his mange and skin infections, plus a specialised diet to help him gain weight at a safe pace.
