John Ferguson from the company responsible for getting gas into SA\u2019s Iron Triangle, APA, says residents are \u201cfrustrated\u201d and \u201cstruggling\u201d.<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re very appreciative of their patience to date,\u201d he told FIVEAA breakfast.<\/p>\n

High-dependency customers like hospitals and some nursing homes in Port Pirie and Whyalla have gas, but no one else.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately the majority of people have been impacted. They don\u2019t have gas, and therefore no cooking or hot water facilities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Ferguson said an emergency tanker was due to arrive in Whyalla on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnfortunately we are at the hands of Epic (Energy SA) undertaking the repair on the pipeline.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce they have got that repair done we have got crews ready to go.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this stage Epic are saying Friday-Saturday is when they\u2019re aiming to have the gas back on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Ferguson said APA would then need to work over the weekend to get gas restored to customers.<\/p>\n
