Caroline Wilson says players and coaches are calling the shots.<\/h3>\n

UPDATE: Essendon says it is close to resolving the issues to make itself available to play in the NAB Challenge.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bombers chief executive Xavier Campbell said the club continued to work with the AFL to field a team for the first match against St Kilda in Morwell.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It looks to me yet again like the (Essendon) board and the administration have lost control of the players and the coaches,\u201d Caro told Rowey and Bicks on FIVEAA.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve been playing intra-club practice matches, we\u2019re told, every Friday in preparation not to play NAB Challenge,\u201d Caro reported.<\/span><\/p>\n

She also agreed the debacle is making the AFL appear weak.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think there is a good argument to say that the tail seems to be wagging the dog. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe last thing the AFL need on the eve of the season is to be at war with Essendon. Essendon are very good at going to war.\u201d<\/p>\n
